Quick answers
Most questions are solved in a minute with these.
How do I restore my Pro purchase?
Open Me › Subscription and tap Restore purchases, or tap Restore on the Pro screen. Make sure your iPhone is signed in to the same Apple Account you used to buy Pro.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Open Me › Subscription › Manage subscription, or go to iPhone Settings › your name › Subscriptions › Uric AI. Cancel at least 24 hours before your renewal date to avoid the next charge.
Deleting the app or your Uric AI account doesn’t cancel a subscription. Apple bills it, so it has to be cancelled with Apple.
How do I ask for a refund?
Apple handles every payment and refund for Uric AI, so we can’t issue refunds ourselves. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com, and Apple will reply by email.
The camera won’t open, or a scan can’t find my food
Check that camera access is on in iPhone Settings › Uric AI › Camera. For the best results, scan in good light with the whole plate in the frame.
You can also choose a photo from your library, or type the meal instead. If a scan keeps failing, email us the photo so we can take a look.
A purine number looks wrong
Purine totals are estimates. The AI names the dishes and guesses the portion, then every ingredient is looked up in a database built on USDA purine data. A bigger or smaller portion than it guessed changes the total.
If a dish is consistently off, email us the dish name and the photo. It helps us improve the database for everyone.
My reminders aren’t arriving
Turn reminders on in Me › Notifications, then check that notifications are allowed in iPhone Settings › Notifications › Uric AI. A Focus mode, such as Sleep or Do Not Disturb, can also hold them back.
Reminders are scheduled on your iPhone, so they still arrive when you’re offline.
How do I move my diary to a new iPhone?
- On your old iPhone, open Me › Account and choose Save with Apple.
- On your new iPhone, install Uric AI, tap I already have an account and sign in with the same Apple ID.
If you delete the app before saving with Apple, your diary can’t be recovered on a new install.
How does the Care Circle work?
Open Me › Care Circle and share your invite code with a family member or caregiver. Then choose what they can see: your diary, your daily risk, or your grocery list. Turn a switch off and they lose access to it right away.
How do I delete my account and data?
Open Me › Account › Delete account. This permanently deletes your diary, lab results, scans, photos and Care Circle, and it can’t be undone. It doesn’t cancel a Pro subscription, so cancel that with Apple too.
Can’t get into the app? Email us a deletion request from the address linked to your Apple ID, and we’ll delete everything and confirm when it’s done. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Is Uric AI medical advice?
No. Flare risk, purine totals and scan results are estimates to help you notice patterns. They don’t diagnose or treat gout and don’t replace your doctor. Keep taking your medication as prescribed, and seek care for severe pain, fever, or a hot, swollen joint.
