Out of bed first
Leave your bedroom, then brush your teeth, then wash your face. The first step gets you out of the room; the next two keep you up.
Wakr can end the alarm at the bathroom sink instead of in bed. Choose brushing your teeth, washing your face, drinking water, or writing down your top priority, and on Pro, chain up to five missions into one routine.
Most alarms end in bed. You silence them where you lie, and whatever happens next is a fresh decision made by a half-asleep person. A routine mission moves that ending somewhere else. If the alarm only stops once you are brushing your teeth, you are already standing at the sink, doing the first thing you would have done anyway.
That is also why these missions are easy to keep. They do not add a chore to your morning. They attach the alarm to habits you already have.
Prop the phone at the sink so the front camera sees your face, then brush. The mission completes after 5 seconds with your hand at your mouth. It is the cue that starts the routine, not a two-minute brushing timer, so keep going after the alarm stops.
Splash cool water and move your hands over your face for 5 seconds. Only one hand needs to be visible, because the other is usually hidden behind it.
Raise a glass to your mouth and keep it there for 5 seconds of sips. Fill the glass before bed and leave it somewhere you have to get up to reach.
Write down the most important thing you will do today, with pen and paper, while the back camera watches the page. Wakr checks that a hand is writing with a pen. It never reads what you wrote.
A phone camera cannot reliably tell a toothbrush from a finger, and Wakr does not pretend to. For brushing and drinking, it checks that a hand is held at your mouth, deliberately and for longer than a passing gesture. For washing, it looks for a hand moving at your face. For writing, it looks for a hand moving with something pen-shaped in view.
Someone determined to fake these missions could. They are built for the far more common problem: switching the alarm off without waking up. You cannot stand at a lit sink with a hand at your mouth for five seconds while you are still asleep.
Every frame is examined in memory on the phone and then discarded. Nothing is saved to your photo library or uploaded anywhere.
How on-device verification worksOn Wakr Pro, one alarm runs up to five missions in a row and keeps ringing until the last one is verified. Start with something that gets you out of bed, then let the routine missions carry you through the bathroom.
Leave your bedroom, then brush your teeth, then wash your face. The first step gets you out of the room; the next two keep you up.
Walk 100 steps, drink water, then write your top priority. None of it makes noise. Switch a light on after the walk, because the camera missions need it.
Brush your teeth, then write your top priority. Two short missions, and you start the day knowing what matters most.
On Wakr Free, the alarm runs one mission. Pick the routine mission in the room furthest from your bed, which is usually Brush teeth. Try the routine builder or compare Free and Pro.
Best for. Anyone who wants the alarm to end at the bathroom rather than back at the bed. It moves you to a different room and starts a routine you were going to do anyway.
Worth knowing. Pose analysis needs the camera and enough light to see you. A dark bathroom at 6am can stall it, so turn the light on first.
Best for. Heavy sleepers who need a change in physical state, not just position. Cool water on the face is harder to sleep through than a sound.
Worth knowing. Camera-based, so it needs a lit bathroom. Dry the phone and your hands before handling it.
Best for. Mornings when you want something gentle. It is the least physically demanding mission and works well if you share a room and cannot move around freely.
Worth knowing. Needs a glass within reach, so fill one before bed. It is also the easiest mission to complete while still half-asleep, which makes it a weak choice if you routinely fall back into bed.
Best for. People whose problem is not physical grogginess but drifting into the day without direction. It turns the first minute of the day into a decision about what matters.
Worth knowing. Needs pen and paper ready the night before, and enough light for the camera to see the pen moving across the page. Wakr checks that you are writing, not what you wrote.
Each mission has Easy, Normal, and Hard. Brushing runs 3, 5, or 15 seconds, and washing and drinking run 3, 5, or 10.
Drink water needs a glass ready, and Write your top priority needs pen and paper where you will use them.
Somewhere it can lean at face height with the front camera facing you, away from splashes.
Every routine mission uses the camera. A dark bathroom is the most common reason progress sits at zero, so switch the light on first.
Run the mission once the evening before, so you know where the phone goes before the morning you need it.
