People who look for an alternative usually are not unhappy with the idea. They are unhappy with the ads in the free version, the number of paid tiers, or how much data the app collects.

Ads in the free version. An ad on the screen you see first thing in the morning is a small thing, but you see it every day. Wakr has no ads on any plan, and no advertising business that would want them.
A snooze you can still reach. In Alarmy, snooze is a setting you control, which also makes it a setting you can turn back on at 11pm. Wakr has no snooze setting at all, so there is nothing to negotiate with yourself about the night before.
Tasks you can finish lying down. Many of Alarmy’s most popular missions are puzzles.
