ABOUT WAKR

Built for the moment after the alarm rings.

Wakr is a private, mission-based alarm app that turns waking up into one concrete first action. wakrapp.com is its official product website.

THE PRODUCT

Less morning negotiation. More useful action.

Wakr began with a simple product question: what if an alarm did not end at the sound? Instead of treating wake-up as a one-tap dismissal, Wakr connects the schedule to a practical mission selected before bed.

Wakr is available on iPhone today, with an Android version in development, and ships 13 missions across movement, hydration, hygiene, light, focus, breathing, and the immediate environment. Wakr Free includes one active alarm, one routine, one mission of your choosing, streaks, and core progress. Wakr Pro adds unlimited alarms and routines and chains up to five missions into one ordered wake-up.

PRODUCT PRINCIPLES

What Wakr is designed to protect.

A clear next step

The alarm screen keeps the selected mission and its progress understandable in a half-awake moment. There is no snooze to fall back on.

Private verification

Supported camera, pose, motion, brightness, and text checks run on the device rather than uploading verification footage.

Honest reliability

Wakr documents permissions and platform limits and recommends a backup for any safety-critical commitment.

WHO MAKES WAKR

An independent app, not a platform.

Wakr is built and published by Ian Talisic, an independent developer. The App Store listing names the same publisher, so you can confirm the app you install and the site you are reading come from the same place. There is no company behind it, no investors, and no advertising business attached to it.

That matters mostly for one reason. The missions work by reading sensors on your phone, including the camera for some of them, and an app in that position has an obvious commercial temptation to collect what it sees. Wakr does not upload verification frames, and there is no advertising model that would benefit from doing so.

HONEST LIMITS

What Wakr does not do.

Sleep products tend to overpromise. These are the limits worth knowing before you rely on it.

It cannot guarantee it will ring

No software alarm can. Battery loss, silent settings, revoked permissions, a force-quit, or an operating-system restriction can all interfere. Keep a second alarm for anything safety-critical.

It is not a medical product

Wakr does not diagnose, treat, or monitor any sleep condition, and nothing on this site is medical advice. Persistent exhaustion or sleeping through repeated alarms is worth raising with a qualified professional.

It cannot replace enough sleep

A mission changes what happens in the minute after the alarm. It does nothing about the hours before it. If you are chronically short on sleep, that is the problem to solve first.
